DESCRIPTION OF WORK

metroEV designed and delivered a turnkey EV charging solution at 155 Dalhousie Street, a loft in the heart of downtown Toronto. The project included the installation of 25 private Level 2 EV charging stations for residents and the implementation of scalable infrastructure to support up to 96 parking spaces in the future. The solution was tailored to the building’s unique electrical configuration and designed for seamless expansion as EV demand increases.

Each EV charger is assigned to a resident’s individual parking space and connected to metroEV’s smart software platform, allowing for automated billing, user access control, and usage transparency. Load management and system design were carefully planned to maximize the building’s electrical capacity while supporting long-term growth.

PROPERTY OVERVIEW

Located in Toronto’s vibrant Garden District, 155 Dalhousie Street is a distinctive residential building known for its hard loft architecture and historical roots—it was originally built as a Sears warehouse and department store in the early 20th century. Just steps from Dundas Square, Ryerson University, and the Eaton Centre, this centrally located property blends industrial character with modern downtown living.
