Projects funded through the EVCP must meet the following requirements:
  • Permanently mounted and installed in Alberta

  • Networked and CSA/ULC certified

  • Installed by a licensed electrical contractor

  • Compliant with Alberta’s Safety Codes Act and local bylaws

  • Equipped with approved plugs (e.g., J1772, CCS, NACS, CHAdeMO)

What type of EV chargers are eligible?

Projects must include the purchase and installation of Level 2 (3.3 kW to 19.2 kW) or Level 3 (20+ kW) EV chargers.
