What is happening to JuiceBox EV Chargers?
Enel X has announced its decision to cease operations in North America, affecting thousands of JuiceBox EV users.
Liquidators will conduct an asset sale on October 29, 2024.
Many EV charging companies are taking advantage of the situation by making unfounded claims that your system will cease to function on October 11, urging you to sign a service agreement with them to avoid service disruption.
metroEV wants to assure you that this is not true.
When Will JuiceBox EV Chargers Stop Working?
According to the October 10th press release, "existing JuiceBox and Enel X Way USA LLC customers will have continued access to their software and mobile applications for an extended period."
You should not be concerned about an immediate loss of function of your JuiceBox charger. However, you might want to consider the potential for your EV charger contract to be acquired by a different company, locking you into another contract in another proprietary solution.

With no capital outlay, enjoy a low monthly rental fee for the term. metroEV and its partner will rent the unit on a monthly basis, covering any issues, hardware upgrades, or warranties.
