EV charging is becoming a must-have amenity for attracting and retaining residents and tenants in condo buildings across Canada. To help more buildings take the first step, metroEV is offering a limited-time EV charger rebate to qualifying condos to install shared EV chargers in communal or visitor parking areas.

What’s included in the rebate?

    • Up to 50% off per charger installed (to a maximum of $3,000 per charger)
    • Support from our experienced EV infrastructure and installation team
    • Wall-mounted, Level 2 shared chargers
    • EV charging software to manage installations of any size
    • Fast turnaround because metroEV manages everything from permitting and installation to commissioning and ongoing technical and customer support
    Limitations: The Shared EV Charger Rebate is limited to $3,000 per charger, up to a maximum of 3 chargers per residential property.

What is a shared EV charger?

A shared EV charger, also called a communal charger, is an EV charging station that’s installed in a common area of your building’s parking facility.

Rather than assigning one private EV charger to one parking spot or unit, shared chargers are:

  • Installed in visitor or communal parking spaces

  • Available on a first-come, first-served basis

  • More affordable to install and easier to approve than private chargers

How to qualify for the Shared EV Charger Rebate

To qualify for the rebate, the EV charger must be installed:

  • in a condominium or strata property
  • in Ontario or British Columbia
  • In a shared parking spot that is publicly available to visitors or residents of the building

metroEV must provide for the installation, equipment and software platform.
